Baptism of a child
Baptism is the first stage in the Christian journey. where a child becomes a member of the Church. We offer baptism of children on the 4th Sunday of the month in our Communion Service at 10.15am (except Lent and Advent). We also offer baptisms outside of the main Sunday service. If you wish your child to be baptised, we would like very much to discuss it with you after one of our Sunday morning services. Rev Lynn can give you an application form. Parents and the Godparents (as many as can make it) will need to attend a baptism preparation session where we explain what baptism is and talk through the service. Thanksgiving for the birth of a child
If you feel you aren’t ready to have your child baptised yet, we offer a service of thanksgiving for the gift of a child. This short service gives thanks to God for the child. You will need to arrange the date and time with the Church Office. The Church of England does not charge a fee for this service, however All Saints Church would value a donation.
Wedding
If you wish to be married in All Saints church please make contact with the church office (details below – during the vacancy) as soon as possible. We have an information leaflet on getting married at All Saints which also sets out the costs and includes an application form. If one or both of you are currently Non-European Economic Area Nationals, you will need to complete legal preliminaries with the local register office, and the superintendent registrar will issue a marraige schedule, which is completed during the marraige. Please make contact with the Church Office first to arrange a wedding date.
Prayer and Dedication following Civil Marriage (Blessing of marriage)
If you have been or are going to be married in a Registry Office and wish to have a service in church afterwards, please contact the Church office. The Church of England does not charge a fee for this service, but All Saints church would welcome a donation.
Funerals
We offer a personalised funeral service either in All Saints church, a cemetery or crematorium. Rev Lynn or another minister will work with the family to create a simple, dignified service. The fees are set by the Church of England and can be found by using the following link Church of England Fees 2025
If you would like a memorial service sometime after the funeral or a cremation only, please contact the Church Office. The Church of England does not charge a fee for this service, but All Saints church would welcome a donation.
